As a part of the INTEGRIS Health family, you will play a crucial role in our Nuclear Medicine department, delivering exceptional service to both our healthcare providers and the community. We are committed to promoting healthier lifestyles and providing a supportive work environment.
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for executing comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures while ensuring compliance with the regulations set forth by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. You will also uphold National Patient Safety Goals pertinent to your patient interactions.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and administer the appropriate radiopharmaceuticals.
- Conduct advanced nuclear medicine procedures and utilize computer systems to process and analyze patient data.
- Maintain accurate records to ensure departmental adherence to Nuclear Regulatory Commission guidelines.
- Document patient results accurately.
- Perform quality control checks on all nuclear medicine equipment.
- Utilize complex mathematical calculations for radiopharmaceutical decay and drug preparation.
- Drive mobile units to rural facilities when necessary.
This role may involve additional physical demands and requires compliance with respiratory fit testing. You will be exposed to low-level radiation and may encounter patient bodily fluids. The position requires the ability to work beyond standard hours and participate in an on-call schedule.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Valid Oklahoma State Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Effective communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
