Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team at El Paso Children's Hospital. As a PICU RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Direct and coordinate all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
- Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
- Support the organization's vision and mission.
- Utilize knowledge of patient's age and cultural diversity in the provision of patient care.
- Possesses critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Possesses effective oral and written communication skills.
- Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills.
- Ability to utilize computers for documentation purposes.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
- Current RN License to practice in the State of Texas.
- Current CPR (from the American Heart Association).
- NRP, PALS within 6 months of hire.
- TNCC within 1 year of hire.
- Degree in Nursing, BSN preferred.
- Meets unit-specific education requirements.
