About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist with the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting and coaching pharmacy technicians in the operation of pharmacy systems and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures;
  • Maintaining knowledge of asset protection techniques and creating claims for order errors and damaged goods;
  • Performing duties assigned by the Pharmacist, such as utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, and verifying medicine;
  • Reporting prescription errors to the Pharmacist and adhering to company policies and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement;
  • Engaging patients by offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive patient experience;
  • Directing and assisting team members as needed to maintain workflow and meet deadlines;
  • Processing claims for 3rd party reimbursement efficiently and correctly;
  • Attending training and completing continuing education credits as requested by the Pharmacy Manager.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Board of Pharmacy technician registration;
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in a pharmacy setting, including pharmacy/medical data entry experience;
  • Knowledge of ChenMed products, services, standards, policies, and procedures;
  • Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology;
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, meet deadlines, and be flexible;
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook;
  • Spoken and written fluency in English.
