Immediate Opportunity for a Skilled Development Product Owner (DPO)
This is a 17+ month contract position with potential for long-term engagement. The role requires onsite presence.
Compensation: $50 - $55/hour. Employee benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave, depending on work location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business units and subject matter experts to grasp business strategy and vision, subsequently writing, refining, prioritizing, and accepting user stories and features to support effective and compliant solutions while balancing investment and business value.
- Manage and uphold a prioritized work backlog for one or more Agile teams.
- Ensure the product backlog includes comprehensive user stories with acceptance criteria, making them consumable and testable by the Agile team or program.
- Review and validate the output of IT and/or business development to confirm that specified acceptance criteria have been met.
- Utilize Jira and/or Rally to oversee the workflow through Kanban, write and accept user stories, and comply with SIB controls.
- Employ Microsoft Office tools for additional documentation and communication needs.
Key Requirements and Technical Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of various technical software delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, SAFe).
- Extensive experience in analyzing business requirements, process flows, and use cases to pinpoint opportunities for streamlining business processes while adhering to risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in underwriting and/or pricing is essential.
- Familiarity with Earnix is advantageous.
- Proficient in JIRA and/or Rally.
