Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Virginia Department of Corrections. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to adult inmates in a correctional setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to adult inmates, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Administer medications, perform sick call screenings, and provide basic life support/emergency care.
  • Document all pertinent information into the health record while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed to ensure seamless care delivery.

Requirements:

  • Valid unrestricted Virginia RN license.
  • Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • Experience in a correctional setting, acute care, and/or community health settings.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary range of $78,322 - $100,392.
  • A $7,500 sign-on bonus or $10,000 student loan repayment for eligible new hires.
