X-Ray OR Radiologic Technologist - Full Time or Part Time - Days

As a key member of our healthcare team, the X-Ray OR Radiologic Technologist is responsible for delivering high-quality imaging services in accordance with physician directives and specific protocols. This role includes assisting in the operating room and performing interventional procedures as required, utilizing diagnostic and CT/MRI technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts accurate and timely imaging scans, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational guidelines.
  • Prepares examination rooms with necessary supplies and medications, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patient care.
  • Engages with the Radiologist to discuss protocol modifications and provides comprehensive patient histories.
  • Maintains a commitment to the principles of Image Gently and Image Wisely in all imaging procedures.

Qualifications:

  • ARRT certification in X-ray and other modalities or eligibility for registry.
  • Preferred: Minimum of one year of experience in patient care within Radiology.
  • Current licensure as a Medical Radiologic Technologist by the Texas Department of Health.
  • Valid BLS certification.
  • Availability for departmental call rotation and willingness to work holidays as needed.

Position Competencies:

  • Efficiently produces radiographs, ensuring proper positioning and exposure for optimal image quality.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in operating Radiology equipment while adhering to radiation safety standards.
  • Conducts quality control checks and maintains detailed logs to comply with ACR standards.
  • Reviews requisitions and physician orders, noting patient conditions and special instructions.
  • Facilitates patient flow to enhance comfort and care delivery.
  • Establishes priorities and makes informed decisions based on patient needs and departmental goals.
  • Participates in ongoing education and departmental meetings to enhance professional development.
  • Exhibits flexibility in staffing and scheduling to meet departmental demands.
  • Supports the educational needs of students and contributes to a collaborative work environment.
