Job Title: Scientist I, Chemistry

Location: Bend, OR

Duration: 12 months

Pay Rate: $30/hr.

This is a senior-level position that requires a minimum of 1-year hands-on experience outside of academic work. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in analytical techniques and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex testing using various analytical techniques, such as HPLC, Dissolution, GC, PXRD, FT-IR, DSC, and KF.
  • Record and report results of analyses in accordance with laboratory procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and data integrity guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain documentation detailing results, including Certificate of Testing, Reports, and PowerPoint Slides.
  • Review and interpret analytical test results, making recommendations based on data.
  • Conduct method development experiments designed by subject matter experts.
  • Write and execute method validations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and report deviations, validation discrepancies, or unexpected results, taking corrective action as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace, adhering to management expectations.
  • Clean and calibrate analytical instrumentation as required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project and business objectives.
  • Perform all duties in strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, and Safety guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related physical science.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a regulated laboratory environment, with a preference for GMP experience.
  • Hands-on experience with various analytical techniques, including HPLC, GC, and Dissolution.
  • Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and data integrity principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
