A Registered Nurse in Nursing Professional Development Generalist role uses expertise to enhance healthcare methods for learners, improving patient outcomes and their own techniques.
ResponsibilitiesYou will:
- Create and assess professional development programs aligned with current methodologies to promote ongoing learning.
- Identify the needs of our staff, work closely with various teams, and modify educational material to suit those needs.
- Help implement education plans, create a positive environment to reach our goals, and design and assess educational activities and projects.
- Engage team members, implement evidence-based content, and use reliable methods to evaluate program outcomes.
- Involve learners in evaluation and adjust material based on data collected, build relationships with various community education programs, and weave ethics through all aspects of your educational practice.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Familiarity with nursing practices, standards of patient care, and procedures.
- A comprehensive grasp of pertinent laws, regulations, and standards set by accrediting agencies.
- Knowledgeable in the areas of health promotion, illness prevention, and healthcare terminology.
- A deep respect for medical and nursing ethics, and commitment to safeguarding patient confidentiality.
- Adaptable teaching skills that cater to diverse learning methods.
- Excellent communication skills with an aptitude for interacting with a varied group of people.
You will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- At least 2 years of pertinent experience.
- RN license and BLS certification. If not BLS certified yet, they must obtain it within 30 days of hire.
