About the Role

Sundays By We Are Sundays is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Associate Fashion Designer to join our Design team in Miami. As a key member of our design process, you will be responsible for managing seasonal design and product development, bulk submission, and final production fit approval.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, team player who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment and can work independently. You must be able to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines and handle feedback with professionalism.

This role reports to the Head of Design and is based at our Miami office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Support: Collaborate with the Head of Design to develop and implement design strategies for various categories, including cut and sew, fully fashioned sweater knits, made in LA t-shirt program, and embellished wovens.
  • Design Research: Conduct preliminary design research and assemble presentation boards for meetings.
  • Fitting Assistance: Attend and assist in fittings by updating design comments with factories and sketch updates.
  • JOOR Upload: Upload style updates and other relevant information to JOOR.
  • Sample Organization: Organize samples for design meetings.
  • Photoshoot Assistance: Assist with quarterly seasonal photoshoots.
  • Design Studio Management: Provide general support with design studio management and organization.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a Women's Contemporary brand.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel, Illustrator, and Photoshop, with expertise in garment sketching on the computer.
  • Design Knowledge: Knowledge of creating tech packs, apparel construction, and design.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work as a team player, manage multiple projects with strict deadlines, and take initiative.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary: Salary range starts at $60,000.
  • Benefits: Sundays by We Are Sundays offers 50% covered medical, pension plan provided after one year of employment, PTO, and paid holidays throughout the year.
