Job Description

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Vascular Access Nurse to join our team at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. As a key member of our vascular access team, you will be responsible for providing expert care to children with vascular access devices, including peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs) and intravenous sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate vascular access sites and devices throughout the system.
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care through application of the nursing process.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and consultant to other healthcare professionals for the care of children.
  • Guide and supervise assigned nursing personnel, collaborate with other healthcare professionals, and coordinate with ancillary staff.
  • Function within Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's policies and procedures framework within the legal framework of the state.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in nursing.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Experience in pediatrics and vascular access devices.
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in ultrasound-guided IV placement and Central Venous Access Device (CVAD) dressing changes.
  • Knowledge of pain management techniques for vascular access insertions.
