Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled PreOp PACU Registered Nurse to join our team at Medical City Ambulatory Surgery Center. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will provide high-quality patient care and ensure a smooth transition from the operating room to the post-anesthesia care unit.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for surgery by conducting thorough assessments and developing individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitor patients' responses
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families throughout the surgical process
  • Conduct thorough head-to-toe assessments and document patient information accurately
  • Develop and implement plans to address patient concerns and needs
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or higher
  • 1+ years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PreOp, PACU, ER, ICU, or Surgery
  • Active RN license and BCLS certification
  • ACLS certification within 30 days of hire
  • PALS certification if required by facility within 30 days of hire
