Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed 3D models of equipment and structures to produce accurate plant designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Generate orthographic and isometric drawings, MTOs, arrangement details, and location plans to support project development, collaborating with engineers and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Collaborate with our design team to develop layouts and drawings for equipment, including plan, sections, and elevations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Support proposal work by creating conceptual plant layouts and generating orthographic views, providing valuable insights to our clients.
  • Review and verify vendor drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or issues.
  • Coordinate submittals and make necessary corrections as instructed, maintaining open communication with our clients and stakeholders.
  • Adhere to established CAD standards and guidelines for the industrial gases industry, staying up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices.
  • Reports to the Design Department Manager, working collaboratively with other departments and work groups as needed.
  • Participate in departmental training programs and seminars to stay current with industry developments, expanding your skills and knowledge.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or drafting technology from a recognized technical institute, with a strong foundation in CAD design principles.
  • Proficiency in CADWORKS 3D and AutoCAD or BricsCAD design software, with experience in cryogenic piping and working in the Industrial Gases Industry being an asset.
  • Understanding of pipe stress and pipe supports, with a solid grasp of industry standards and regulations.
  • Basic computer literacy - Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), with excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to function in a team environment across multiple disciplines, with a strong focus on collaboration and customer satisfaction.
