Position Overview:
The Procurement Specialist at Johnson Health Tech Companies plays a crucial role in supporting the formulation of regional demand strategies. This position involves collaborating closely with both internal teams and external suppliers to ensure the effective execution of these strategies, with a focus on optimizing inventory levels for finished products and components in line with company protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Demand Strategy Development (20%):
· Continuously assess inventory levels, market trends, and customer behaviors to generate precise forecasts for each product line and vendor.
Procurement Activities (20%):
· Transform demand forecasts into regular purchase orders for internal and external vendors to guarantee timely production and delivery of products.
· Monitor dispatched orders and communicate estimated arrival times to relevant departments.
· Evaluate and adjust future shipment schedules as necessary, including expediting or postponing orders.
Material Management (20%):
· Create and oversee materials and purchase orders within the SAP system.
· Identify and rectify data integrity issues through sustainable practices.
Inventory Oversight (20%):
· Analyze and modify future shipment plans as needed, including expediting, delaying, or canceling orders.
· Propose strategies to minimize aged inventory and collaborate with sales teams to reduce excess stock.
· Facilitate the introduction of new products and coordinate phase-in/phase-out plans with internal stakeholders.
· Maintain meticulous attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of product attributes in master data.
· Regularly communicate with internal teams regarding inventory status.
Reporting Duties (10%):
· Update existing reports and develop new reporting tools.
· Track and analyze departmental performance metrics.
· Collaborate with various departments on inventory management projects.
· Maintain comprehensive reports for distribution to management and staff.
· Work with sales teams to create and update a master sales forecasting and procurement sheet monthly.
Additional Responsibilities (10%):
· Engage in cross-functional meetings as necessary.
· Foster strong relationships with all internal and external suppliers.
· Contribute to a positive team environment.
· Uphold Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all tasks.
Qualifications:
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a focus on Operations Management or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
Experience:
· Minimum of 4 years in B2B operations, preferably in supply chain management.
· Proficiency in SAP is required.
Additional Skills:
· Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
· Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite.
· Strong self-management, initiative, and problem-solving abilities.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of personnel.
· Exceptional multitasking, prioritization, and organizational skills.
· Ability to analyze and manage large datasets.
· Occasional travel may be required for vendor visits.
