State Farm is seeking a skilled Insurance Defense Attorney to join its team. * As a member of our in-house counsel practice, you will work on insurance defense cases, leveraging our leadership position in the insurance and financial services industry.
* You will be responsible for managing a caseload independently and proactively moving files from inception to resolution in an insurance defense environment.
* You will provide superior customer service, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and possess excellent communication skills, organization, and technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation.

Qualifications:

* Insurance Defense experience desired, preferably with 1st or 2nd chair trial experience.
* Must have an active license to practice law in Texas and be a member in good standing with the bar.
* Must have a law degree from ABA accredited law school and excellent academic credentials.
* Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation.
* Fluency in Spanish is preferred, but not required.

New Graduate Qualifications: If not already licensed, new law school graduates must be in the process of preparing for and taking the Texas bar exam this year. Mock trial/trial advocacy experience is required. Strong written & oral communication skills – written samples may be requested.
