Aerospace Tool Design Opportunity

Visioneering, Inc. is a leading provider of high-quality conceptual design, engineering, and innovative tooling solutions for the aerospace industry. We are seeking a skilled Aerospace Tool Designer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop tooling solutions using CATIA software for Military, Aerospace, and Commercial markets.
  • Review Statements of Work and verify all necessary information is available for design completion. Communicate with Design and Project Managers if information is unavailable.
  • Design to customer-specific intervals and standards, and inform Design Managers of progress and completion.
  • Participate in tooling design reviews to ensure tools meet customer build plans, production requirements, and technical, safety, and ergonomic standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for seamless production flow.
  • Contribute to technical troubleshooting of tooling-related issues and corrective action analysis.
  • Ability to cross-check design work in a team-based environment.
  • Possess knowledge of various tools and tooling materials, as well as customer design standards.
  • Comply with electronic document and manual document control systems and QMS procedures.
  • Deliver designs within or before required due dates and budgeted hours.
  • Meet quality and production goals while following OSHA safety guidelines and ITAR compliance.
Requirements
  • Team player with ability to multi-task.
  • 2-D drawing and 3-D modeling experience (CATIA V5) in assembly fixtures, machine fixtures, bond & lay-up tools, and facility equipment.
  • Thorough understanding of geometric tolerances and reference systems.
  • Superior computer skills, minimum 3 years of tool and/or mechanical design experience, and 2 or more years of CATIA V5 software experience.
  • Preferred Aerospace tool design experience.
