Bulk Material Handler Job Description

Barrett Petfood Innovations is seeking a skilled Bulk Material Handler to join our team in the Weekend Mill. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing bulk trailers and ensuring the safe storage and transportation of food products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage bulk trailers and ensure correct location and tracking throughout the yard area.
  • Unload and inspect incoming shipments, annotating any damages or issues.
  • Load bulk trailers with flour and prepare for shipment to the Little Falls plant.
  • Perform maintenance on yard tractors to ensure operational safety.
  • Relay information to Mill Manager and Leads regarding problems, safety concerns, or suggestions.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including email.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
  • Class A license desired but not required.

Working Conditions:

This role operates in a manufacturing warehouse environment, with exposure to flour dust and loud noises. Applicants must be able to comply with personal protective equipment requirements.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, using hands to handle objects, reaching overhead, and gripping. The employee must occasionally lift or move products and supplies up to 75 pounds.
