Job Summary

Barrett Petfood Innovations is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bulk Material Handler to join our team in the Mill. This is a full-time position working on a weekend shift, with a competitive hourly rate and excellent benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and track Bulk Trailers within the yard area, ensuring correct location and protection of trailers.
  • Unload and inspect incoming shipments, annotating location and weights as required.
  • Load bulk trailers with flour and prepare for shipment to the Little Falls plant.
  • Perform various maintenance tasks on yard tractors to ensure operational safety.
  • Relay information to Mill Manager and Leads regarding problems, safety concerns, or suggestions.
  • Document and report any discrepancies found within the work area.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure quality specifications are met.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and documentation.
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including email.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
  • Class A license is desired but not required.
Work Environment

This role operates in a manufacturing warehouse environment, with a non-climate-controlled setting. The environment is loud, and flour dust is abundant. Personal protective equipment is required, including hearing protection, hard hat, safety glasses, beard/hair nets, gloves, and steel-toed shoes.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, using hands to handle objects, reaching overhead, and gripping. Occasional lifting or moving products and supplies up to 75 pounds is required.
