We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist II to join our team at Parsons Company. As a key member of our Federal Solutions segment, you will be responsible for delivering resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
Job Summary:The Research Scientist II will be responsible for planning, conducting, and promoting basic and applied research in Combat Casualty Care and Operational Medicine. This includes overseeing contract personnel associated with research projects, managing research data, and providing expertise in development and conduct of protocol-driven scientific research.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement research protocols to address various aspects of military medicine, including hemorrhage and resuscitation, immunomodulation, biomedical systems, bioassay development, craniofacial, infectious diseases, and directed energy bioeffects.
- Provide support in writing protocol-driven research proposals, animal use protocols, human use protocols, technical reports, final reports, and peer-reviewed manuscripts.
- Analyze and evaluate data sets to inform research decisions and recommendations.
- Develop and present findings at technical and professional meetings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement research projects.
- PhD in a related field, such as biophysics, plus two years of post-doctoral experience, including at least one year of experience conducting research in Combat Casualty Care and Operational Medicine.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare professionally accepted scientific reports and present effective oral presentations.
- Ability to use sound judgment in problem-solving and excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
