Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Body Shop Technician/Painter to join our team in Sacramento. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for performing body work on medium and heavy-duty class 6-8 trucks, including pre/post repair washes, bodywork, replacement of parts, installs on new trucks, and other minor repairs as assigned. You will also be involved in all facets of the painting process, including finish matching, painting, mixing, tinting, and blending.

Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Performing body work on medium and heavy-duty class 6-8 trucks.
  • Conducting pre/post repair washes and ensuring vehicles meet quality standards.
  • Replacing parts and installing new components on trucks.
  • Maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality results.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need at least 5 years of experience performing repairs on all makes and models of diesel trucks. You must also have self-motivation, the ability to work under little or no supervision, a driver's license with a good driving record, and a CDL (preferred but not necessary). Additionally, you must understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know. Axalta certification is a plus, and having your own tools is also beneficial.
