Job Title: IT Asset Management SME

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled IT Asset Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in Springfield, VA.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, time management, and detail-oriented skills, which will be used to oversee and manage equipment for nearly 250 sites worldwide and manage the daily operation and administration of the warehouse facility.

The IT Asset Management SME will connect with our customers and team members domestically and overseas via email or Microsoft Teams to coordinate shipping and project status updates.

The role also involves improving efficiencies in the planning, managing, controlling, directing, and coordinating the overall activities of other personnel and logistical support to refine industrial work processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Logistics Support team in meeting customer procurement requirements.
  • Work with internal customers, suppliers, external customers, and program business leadership to meet goals and communicate performance.
  • Perform detailed data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights; create comprehensive reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze large data sets using advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data through validation and cleansing processes; manage and maintain databases and data systems.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements; translate technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks, ensuring thoroughness and precision in work outputs.
  • Assist with asset management duties, including annual inventory procedures for associated offices, supporting internal 'office' asset management processes, hand receipts, and tracking of items.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, and at least 4 years of experience managing and procuring IT assets.
  • Or an Associates degree, and at least 6 years of experience managing and procuring IT assets.
  • Or a High School diploma/GED, and at least 8 years of experience managing and procuring IT assets.

Advanced Microsoft Excel experience is required, and an Active Secret US Government Clearance is necessary.

US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.

  • Strong adaptability, capable of handling various tasks and shifting priorities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Proven ability to work well in a team setting, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
