Job Title: Educational Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Educational Consultant to join our team at Savvas Learning Company. As an Educational Consultant, you will play a critical role in helping districts and schools implement our award-winning learning solutions.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing professional development and technical assistance to schools and districts to ensure successful implementation of our products and services.
  • Coaching teachers and school leaders to develop effective instructional strategies and practices.
  • Collaborating with our product development team to inform the design and development of our products and services.
  • Staying up-to-date on best practices in education and sharing knowledge with our team to drive innovation and improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in education, with a focus on instructional coaching or professional development.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum design and instructional strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time.

Responsibilities:

  • Professional Development: Design and deliver professional development programs for teachers and school leaders to enhance their instructional skills and knowledge.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Provide coaching and mentoring to teachers and school leaders to support their instructional practices and improve student outcomes.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with our product development team to design and develop curriculum materials that meet the needs of teachers and students.
  • Technical Assistance: Provide technical assistance to schools and districts to ensure successful implementation of our products and services.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in education, with a focus on instructional coaching or professional development.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of curriculum design and instructional strategies, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to travel up to 70% of the time.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Scaffolding Instruction: Experience in scaffolding instruction for English Language Learners and students with disabilities.
  • Virtual Teaching: Experience in virtual teaching and learning.
  • Program Development: Experience in developing programs and services to support community outreach.

Additional Skills:

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to handle a high volume of work in a short period of time, handle multiple priorities simultaneously, and operate in a demanding work environment.
  • Reliability: Reliable attendance and punctuality are critical to successful performance in this role.

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel: Must be able to travel up to 70% of the time, including airline and automobile travel.
