Job Summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing imaging procedures on a 1.5 T magnetic resonance imaging scanner, preparing images for review, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI scans and prepare images for review according to protocols
  • Recognize cross-sectional anatomy and perform MRI's with accuracy
  • Inject contrast media as needed and maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Provide service excellence and comply with hospital policies and procedures
  • Use RIS/PACS and HIS systems for proper recording of patient exams and dissemination of patient results

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completed education requirements to become Certified in MRI
  • Recent hospital-related experience and digital imaging and post-processing PACS experience
  • MRI certified by ARRT (ARMRIT or CAMRT) or acquire within first year of employment
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association
  • 24 ECE credits for re-certification and licensure within a two-year period
  • 2 MRI Safety Credits annually

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of state and federal health safety laws and TJC Standards
  • Ability to recognize cross-sectional anatomy and establish access to veins for IV contrast
  • Knowledge of basic medical equipment and moderate computer skills

Pay Range

$31.71 - $46.88
