Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bartender to join our team at Gulf Coast Restaurant Group Inc. As a Bartender, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, beers, and wines, to our guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of our menu and drink offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and pairing suggestions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to maintain a clean and organized bar area, including restocking supplies and cleaning equipment.
  • Monitor and manage cash and credit transactions, including handling cash, operating a point-of-sale system, and making change.
  • Anticipate and meet the needs of our guests, including offering recommendations and suggestions to enhance their dining experience.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, including new drink recipes, techniques, and technologies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in a restaurant or bar setting preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, including standard drink recipes and preparation methods.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for long periods of time, with frequent bending, reaching, and walking.

Work Environment

This position operates in a fast-paced restaurant environment, with frequent exposure to noise, heat, and physical demands. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting is essential.

Physical Demands
  • Walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop, and wipe.
  • Remain stationary for long periods of time.
  • Frequently wash hands.
  • Be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Be able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to cut, measure, pour, serve, carry, and wipe.
  • Be able to hear and talk.
  • Good close and distance vision and ability to adjust focus between the two.
