Job Description

Sanctuary Treatment Center, a Residential Substance Use Treatment Center, is seeking a skilled Associate Therapist to join our dedicated team. As an Associate Therapist, you will work closely with a diverse caseload of clients, providing comprehensive counseling and therapeutic services tailored to their unique needs. Our center offers a nurturing home-like atmosphere, regular supervision, and mentorship to support your professional growth and ensure the highest quality of care for our clients.

This is an entry-level position perfect for a new grad, with supervision for BBS hours provided by an LMFT. We offer a competitive salary and a range of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, reimbursement for licensing fees, education assistance, and employee referral bonuses.

The Associate Therapist will support and promote the mission of Sanctuary, providing treatment to clients and their families. Key responsibilities include conducting individual, group, and family counseling sessions, developing and monitoring individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with the treatment team.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited social work, marriage and family therapy, or clinical counseling psychology program
  • Registration with the State of California Board of Behavioral Health as a registered associate with a valid CA BBS number
  • Experience working with addiction, in an addiction treatment center, or with military veterans preferred but not required
  • Able to maintain a professional manner with staff, clients, and visitors
  • Able to work in a fast-paced setting, under pressure, and maintain open and proper communication
