Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handler 1 Receiving Specialist to join our team at The Tile Shop. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving and Inspection: Inspect incoming shipments to ensure quality standards are met and accurately record quantities received.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, including tracking and recording of materials and products.
  • Warehouse Operations: Load and unload trucks, process incoming freight, and move materials and products to designated storage areas.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment, including sit-down forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.
  • Housekeeping and Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless warehouse operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
  • Previous Warehouse Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or material handling environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, move, and maneuver materials and products up to 50 pounds, as well as stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Equipment Operation: Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including sit-down forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.
