Overview

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Scrub Tech to join our team at Lovelace Women's Hospital in Albuquerque, NM.

Responsibilities
  • Apply expert knowledge of sterile techniques, instrumentation, and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment.
  • Support physicians in a variety of procedures, including specialty surgeries in the operating room.
  • Collaborate with the team to plan for special patient needs and ensure timely completion of procedures.
  • Verify accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments used in all procedures.
  • Complete basic OR Tech competencies and departmental-specific competencies.
  • Take ownership of assignments and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or clinical-based program.
  • At least six months of experience in an operating room or ambulatory surgery unit.
  • CPR certification.

Preferred qualifications include certification as an OR Tech, one year of OR experience, and CORT or CST certification.
