We are seeking a skilled Surgical Scrub Tech to join our team at Lovelace Women's Hospital in Albuquerque, NM.
Responsibilities- Apply expert knowledge of sterile techniques, instrumentation, and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment.
- Support physicians in a variety of procedures, including specialty surgeries in the operating room.
- Collaborate with the team to plan for special patient needs and ensure timely completion of procedures.
- Verify accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments used in all procedures.
- Complete basic OR Tech competencies and departmental-specific competencies.
- Take ownership of assignments and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or clinical-based program.
- At least six months of experience in an operating room or ambulatory surgery unit.
- CPR certification.
Preferred qualifications include certification as an OR Tech, one year of OR experience, and CORT or CST certification.
