We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Counselor to join our team at Constructive Partnerships Unlimited. As a Direct Care Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities who reside in our residential program.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
- Assist with meal preparation and serving, as well as maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical professionals.
- Implement individualized program plans and maintain accurate records and charts.
- Accompany individuals to community inclusionary activities, medical appointments, and other events.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Ability to understand and communicate in English.
- Must be able to float to different sites according to established agency policy.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
The Direct Care Counselor will work in a residential setting, providing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The position requires the ability to lift and transfer individuals, as well as perform other physical demands of the job.
