Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse

Job Summary:
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at Marshall Medical Center's outpatient clinics plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. Working closely with medical caregivers, the LVN ensures that patients receive timely, dignified, and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate patient flow through the office, assisting providers within the LVN scope of practice.
  2. Monitor patients for preventative care needs and provide nursing care according to Marshall Medical Center's standard of practice.
  3. Maintain good public relations by interacting with patients, visitors, physicians, and other staff members in a friendly and professional manner.
  4. Verify and process insurance eligibility, obtain authorization requests, and verify personal credentials with external partners.

Requirements:
  1. High School graduate or equivalent required.
  2. Current CA Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
  3. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  4. One year of experience practicing as an LVN preferred.

Preferred Skills:
  1. Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  2. Injection skills, phlebotomy skills, EKG experience, and medication administration skills.
  3. Basic computer and data entry skills.
  4. Familiarity with medical terminology, patient/family health education, instrument sterilization techniques, and taking vital signs.
