We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Preadmission Services team at Albany Medical Center. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in preparing patients for surgery by obtaining vital signs, performing diagnostic testing, and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain and accurately record patient vital signs
- Document patient history and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff
- Participate in in-office procedures under the direction of a licensed healthcare provider
- Perform diagnostic CLIA waived testing and venipuncture for lab testing
- Prescribe medications and maintain patient charts
- Adhere to Albany Medical Center's regulatory compliance issues
- High School Diploma/G.E.D. required
- Previous experience in a patient care setting preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- LPN licensure in the State of New York required
This role requires standing, walking, and lifting frequently. The work environment is fast-paced and requires attention to detail.
