Medical Specialist

About the Job
The Medical Specialist will perform physical examinations and establish medical histories to determine donor suitability. They will build rapport with donors, ensure overall customer satisfaction, and maintain confidentiality. The role involves educating donors on potential hazards, providing general health information, and counseling on unacceptable test results.
Responsibilities
- Perform evaluations of any history of illness or medications to ensure continued donor suitability.
- Administer employee Hepatitis Vaccine program.
- Assist in employee training.
- Evaluate & manage donor injuries and adverse events.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates must be educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocation Nurse. Current CPR certification is required.
Salary
The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
