The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) division is looking for a variety of experience levels, including Associate and Experienced Aerospace Structural Engineers, to join the Airframe Structures team.


A successful candidate will be involved in executing modifications and enhancements for various aircraft programs.


Key Responsibilities:
Associate (Level 2)

Assists in the development, integration, and documentation of structural requirements to define system design.


Creates, maintains, and adjusts fundamental structural and interior payload system designs using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools, ensuring comprehensive product definition for engineering teams, production operations, suppliers, and external clients throughout the product lifecycle.

Conducts tests to validate and confirm that systems and components fulfill requirements and specifications.


Supports supplier development, testing, and production coordination to optimize designs and meet program objectives.

Engages in the exploration of emerging technologies to conceptualize future product designs that align with anticipated requirements.

Works under general supervision.

Experienced (Level 3)

Develops, integrates, and documents structural requirements to establish system design.


Creates, maintains, and modifies structural and interior payload system designs using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools, ensuring comprehensive product definition for engineering teams, production operations, suppliers, and external clients throughout the product lifecycle.

Integrates analytical and testing results to validate and confirm that systems and components meet requirements and specifications.


Manages supplier development, testing, and production activities, coordinating with suppliers to optimize designs and achieve program goals.

Develops innovative design and analysis processes to enhance the quality and efficiency of development efforts.

Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs that meet projected requirements.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

This role requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, necessitating U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):


Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited engineering program.

1 or more years of relevant work experience

Experience in aircraft design

Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling

Experience collaborating as an engineer within a multi-disciplinary team, frequently interacting with suppliers and clients.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3 or more years of relevant work experience

Active U.S. Secret Clearance.

Experience in creating structural/mechanical designs using Catia & Enovia

Model-Based-Definition design experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
