About the Role

We are seeking experienced and motivated Class A and B CDL drivers to join our team at The H&K Group. As a CDL driver, you will play a critical role in our operations, requiring reliability and attentiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all work adhering to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Drive trucks to destinations
  • Prepare receipts for load pick up
  • Maintain truck logs according to state and federal regulations and company policy
  • Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisors to receive delivery instructions
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Inspect truck equipment and supplies
  • Perform daily pre and post trip vehicle inspections
  • Tarp all loads when public roadway travel is necessary
  • Trim all loads prior to tarping when necessary
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Class A CDL with 1 year of commercial driving experience or Class B CDL with 1 year of triaxle driving experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Customer Service and Teamwork skills
  • Strong Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to fit test and utilize appropriate PPE as needed
  • Ability to meet physical requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 years of commercial driving experience
  • Strong preference for 3 years of triaxle driving experience
  • TWIC card preferred with CDL class A
  • Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
  • Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries
  • MSHA, OSHA or other relevant safety certifications
Work Environment

Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. Frequently exposed to vibration. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. Noise level is usually loud.
