Facilities Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Mount Prospect School District 57. As a key member of our maintenance staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities. This is a full-time position with a 12-month schedule, offering a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of school facilities, including classrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, painting, and repairing equipment and fixtures.
- Assist with special events and projects, such as setup and teardown of facilities for events and activities.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
- Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
