Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Writer to join our team at Houston Methodist Academic Institute. As a Scientific Writer, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality written scientific documents for grant applications, publications, and other scientific or administrative reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and edit scientific documents, including grant proposals, manuscripts, and protocols, to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with faculty and researchers to gather information and provide editorial support for scientific writing projects.
  • Manage the scientific writing process, including researching, drafting, and revising documents.
  • Ensure quality and timely preparation of technical documents, including regulatory submissions and grant proposals.
  • Assist with the writing of grant applications, awards, contracts, and other agreements.
  • Provide faculty with full lifecycle support from technical document development to preparation and submission.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as biology, chemistry, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in science writing or editing.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of biomedical manuscripts, grant application processes, and regulatory requirements.
