Job Title: Medical Case Manager II

CorVel Corporation is seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Case Manager II to join our team. As a Medical Case Manager II, you will play a vital role in facilitating the recovery of injured workers and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical case management services to individuals through in-person and telephonic communications with patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
  • Utilize your medical and nursing knowledge to discuss treatment plans with physicians and explore alternative treatment options.
  • Evaluate treatment plans for appropriateness, medical necessity, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient progress.
  • Attend medical appointments, hospital visits, and other healthcare-related events.
  • Develop and implement care plans, including negotiation of durable medical equipment and nursing services.
  • Travel locally to meet with patients and healthcare providers, with occasional overnight travel.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of operation.
  • Certification as a CCM, CIRS, or other case management certifications preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to assigned locations.
