Avionics Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at California Temp Services, Inc.
Key Responsibilities:- Hardware Development: Design new hardware, redesign existing hardware, and perform modifications to PCBAs to improve their reliability and manufacturability or expand product capabilities.
- Avionics Hardware: Provide extreme ownership of avionics hardware for flight across all areas of the product life cycle.
- Design Changes: Drive changes to electrical schematics and mechanical drawings that improve reliability and manufacturability.
- Risk Mitigation: Perform root cause investigations to characterize off-nominal unit behavior and mitigate risk.
- Issue Resolution: Derive engineering justification to resolve production issues throughout assembly, test, and product integration.
- Testing and Validation: Design test setups and execute hardware validation through benchtop and environmental testing.
- Circuit Design: Ability to design analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
- Software Experience: Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout software.
- Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5 standards, Tolerance analysis, Computer Aided Design, solid modeling.
- Manufacturing Techniques: Working knowledge of practical manufacturing techniques, quality assurance requirements and all factors affecting product/program costs.
- Analytical Tools: Knowledge of analytical tools such as SolidWorks and its analysis suite is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Ability to organize prepare and present materials to customers, suppliers and/or company management at all levels.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering.
- Work Experience: 2+ years of experience in electronics hardware design.
- Technical Skills: 2+ years of experience with electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, signal generators, oscilloscopes) to verify hardware functionality.
$85,000 - $110,000 annual salary.
