Summary

The Safety Compliance Officer II advocates for the Company's IIF (Incident and Injury Free) culture by ensuring that every team member returns home safely each night. This role requires spending 100% of the time in the field, observing and coaching team members on rectifying unsafe conditions and behaviors. The officer may oversee junior Field Safety Representatives and Coordinators, reinforcing positive behaviors through recognition and rewards. They serve as a valuable resource for team members by addressing safety inquiries and sharing learned experiences. By integrating with the project team, the officer employs a hands-on approach to enhance project safety, quality, and productivity (SQP).

Roles and Responsibilities

The Safety Compliance Officer II will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas to perform the role safely, productively, and effectively. The areas listed are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals in this role.   • Promotes the Company's IIF Culture by serving as a Safety Resource on the Project
  • Assists in ensuring Project Compliance with all Safety Regulations
  • Facilitates or Conducts Case Management
  • Guarantees a Safe Work Environment
  • Participates in Training and Certifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a safety-related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience in concrete construction and safety, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must obtain OSHA 30-hour certification within 3 months.
