The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at McDonough District Hospital. This role requires a skilled and compassionate RN to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care for critically ill patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and psychological needs. Develop and implement individualized care plans to address these needs and promote optimal patient outcomes.
- Implementation and Evaluation: Implement nursing interventions and treatments as ordered by physicians, and evaluate their effectiveness in achieving desired patient outcomes. Monitor patients' responses to care and make adjustments as needed.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
- Education and Competency: Complete hospital-wide and department-specific computer-based learning (CBL) programs to enhance knowledge and skills. Participate in departmental in-services and demonstrate competency through service-specific competency testing and evaluation.
The successful candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ICU environment.
