Job Summary

Regional Medical Imaging is seeking a skilled MRI Assistant to join our team. As an MRI Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient workflow and optimal patient care. Your primary responsibility will be to assist technologists in performing MRI procedures, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to provide high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient data and exam orders to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Interview patients to explain MRI procedures and obtain pertinent exam information.
  • Position patients on the scanner table and place specified coils over areas of interest.
  • Gain IV access as needed for contrast injections.
  • Operate RIS and PACS systems to manage patient data and imaging results.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to ACR White Paper on MR Safety guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Tech and technologists.

Requirements
  • 6-12 months of related experience and/or training.
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience, including the ability to start IVs.
  • CPR and Blood Borne Pathogens certification.

Work Environment
Part-time, non-exempt position with a weekend schedule (Saturday and Sunday, 7:00am-7:00pm).
