Role Overview:

The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for delivering expert assistance to customer inquiries through various communication channels, ensuring the effective operation, repair, and configuration of military hardware and software products.

This position includes conducting training sessions at both our facilities and remote sites. The candidate must be prepared for extensive travel, exceeding 50% annually, which may include both domestic and international assignments. An active US Secret level security clearance is mandatory, and all travel expenses will be reimbursed by the company.



Key Responsibilities:

Customer Assistance:
Provide expert technical support from company facilities via phone and email to address customer inquiries and resolve issues. Document customer requests in a tracking system.
On-Site Support:
Deliver technical assistance at customer locations and prepare comprehensive reports upon task completion.

Maintenance:
Ensure proper repair and upkeep of training and testing assets, adhering to installation standards and maintaining accurate documentation.

Primary Liaison:
Serve as the main point of contact between Ultra and the customer for troubleshooting and resolution of inquiries. Collaborate with various teams within Ultra and maintain regular follow-ups with customers.

Training Delivery:
Facilitate technical training sessions for customers.

Database Oversight:
Manage multiple databases, including call logs, trip reports, and failure documentation.

Reporting Duties:

Generate detailed reports from logging tools, update statuses, and participate in meetings with customers to discuss ongoing service requests.


Quality Assurance:
Conduct quality audits as necessary.

Software Management:
Load and test software on systems prior to deployment.

Additional Responsibilities:
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Active US Secret security clearance. Security clearances are granted to US Citizens.
Previous experience in IT networking.
Proficiency in Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally, including military installations. Travel is expected to exceed 50% annually.

Preferred Qualifications:
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Experience with Tactical Data Links and Command and Control Systems.
Familiarity with ADSI and Link 16 systems.
Military background is a plus.
