Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing various ultrasound procedures to provide top-of-scope practice in direct patient care. You will contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care, educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams, and implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform various ultrasound procedures to provide top-of-scope practice in direct patient care.
  • Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams.
  • Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
  • Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
