Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Opportunity

UCHealth (Colorado) is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Yampa Valley Medical Center in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

About the Role

This is a full-time, ongoing position with a 40-hour workweek. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing top-notch patient care through various ultrasound procedures, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes, and contributing to a safe and quality-focused environment.

Responsibilities
  • Reviews patient history, physician's orders, and schedules exams, educating patients on procedures and equipment as needed.
  • Monitors patient condition, reports/responds to changes in status, and selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
  • Implements safety standards, performs quality control procedures on equipment, and troubleshoots/resolves equipment malfunctions.
  • Positions patients and performs imaging procedures, analyzing results and identifying issues with imaging quality.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
  • Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
