In this role, you will also lead various marketing-related projects, conduct business and market research, and pursue growth objectives.

What will you be doing?

The Product Specialist is a vital member of the global Microelectronics and Sensors (ME&S) Team, supporting the Business Leader, Product Managers, Application Engineers, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Process Engineering across multiple areas.

Your contributions will impact bottom-line results in high-energy and dynamic environments that require teamwork, planning, communication, and execution skills.

Emphasis will be placed on timely project completion to drive revenue growth, market share expansion, and margin improvement. You will need to influence diverse teams to achieve project goals and timelines.

Collaborate with Operations and Process Engineering teams to ensure product samples are available prior to launch and that materials are ready for sale post-launch.

Ensure that the appropriate item numbers are established in the ERP system.

Oversee the daily progress of projects and keep the Product Manager, Project Champion, and other stakeholders informed through timely and effective communication.

As needed, assist the Project Manager or lead your own New Product Development (NPD) projects.

In this capacity, you will guide a cross-functional team through the formal phase gate process, including the creation of the overall project plan and validation of financial metrics for a given NPD project.

As appropriate, support the Project Manager for an Applications project that has been approved and resourced.

Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, or timeline accelerations to shorten time to market for new products.

Work with Global and Regional Marketing Communication teams to assist in the creation of collateral for product launches, industry education, positioning, and promotions.

Conduct market research projects as required and defined by the Marketing Team.

The market research may involve basic data collection via the internet, surveys, and both internal and external interviews, as well as the collation and organization of raw data and assessment of its implications.

Finally, collaborate with the project sponsor to develop a comprehensive market research report and recommended actions based on the findings.

Engage closely with other functions such as Sales, Technical Service, Operations, GPEG, Quality, and R&D to achieve defined goals and deliverables for assigned projects and successfully complete assigned tasks.

Who are You?

To effectively fulfill the essential duties of this position, we are looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a technical discipline (preferably in a science or engineering field) and at least two to five years of relevant experience.

The ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations is essential.

Strong writing skills for reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, along with the ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public, are required.

We recognize that not all candidates may meet the above requirements.

If you believe you possess the skills and experience necessary to excel in this role, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

What competencies will you need?
