Progressive Care Unit Nurse

We're seeking a skilled Progressive Care Unit Nurse to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a PCU Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Summary:The Progressive Care Unit Nurse will be responsible for caring for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment. This role involves utilizing computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information, detecting any changes and enabling intervention in life-threatening or emergency situations.
Responsibilities:- Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients
- Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs
- Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays
- Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology
- ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications
- 2 Years of experience in acute care
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
- Ability to lift 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
