About the Position:

The VDC Specialist - Laser Scanning Expert role is a practical position centered on reality capture and laser scanning proficiency. This position provides opportunities for growth in domain expertise and project leadership. Key responsibilities encompass on-site laser scanning, data processing, and registration, along with prospects for research initiatives and presentations at industry events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executing on-site 3D laser scanning operations utilizing Faro, Leica, and Navis scanners.
  • Post-processing scan data and integrating it into design models.
  • Aligning and verifying scan data with survey data for precision and accuracy.
  • Coordinating maintenance and updates for scanning equipment.
  • Adhering to safety protocols during scanning operations.
  • Formulating scanning work plans and conducting quality assurance/quality control.
  • Investigating new technologies to improve efficiency and service delivery.
  • Ensuring project deliverables are completed on schedule and within budget.

Required Qualifications:

  • Educational background in Architecture, Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related disciplines.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in laser scanning.
  • Proficiency in post-processing software for the integration of scan data.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in scanning and data processing.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams.
  • A valid driver's license and readiness to travel as needed.
