Your Role:
As a key member of our multi-disciplinary design teams, you will contribute to projects aimed at addressing environmental challenges linked to the legacy nuclear weapons production complex and safeguarding our nation's nuclear capabilities.

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will leverage your educational background to:
1. Conduct detailed designs for both new and modified systems.
2. Perform evaluations and reviews of energy and industrial facilities, preparing comprehensive reports and calculations to assess proposed system designs and upgrades.
3. Collaborate with project teams to:
   a. Review and evaluate energy and industrial process designs.
   b. Prepare preliminary engineering studies for modifications and retrofitting of existing facilities.
   c. Analyze technical challenges, develop system specifications, and present findings to clients and colleagues.

Professional Development:
This position offers the chance to deepen your understanding of engineering and process systems while working alongside diverse project teams. You will also:
1. Develop expertise in radiation shielding and perform analyses using MicroShield and MCNP software.
2. Conduct system reliability analyses utilizing fault trees and reliability block diagrams.
3. Work towards obtaining a professional engineering license.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
1. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from an accredited program.
2. A minimum of ten years of experience in a nuclear-related field.
3. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
4. Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
5. Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with nuclear materials and processes.

Additional Skills:
While not required, the following are valued:
1. Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
2. Experience with regulatory programs such as the Clean Air Act and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
3. Current Security Clearance.
