POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a proficient MIG Welder who possesses the expertise to weld different material thicknesses and configurations. The ideal candidate will be adept at making precise measurements down to 1/16" using a tape measure and will have familiarity with standard fabrication practices, including grinding, spatter removal, and reading weld schematics.
SHIFT DETAILS
This position offers two shifts:
1st Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
2nd Shift: Monday to Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Equipment Proficiency: Familiarity with welding machines, cutting torches, grinders, and overhead cranes.
- Certification: A minimum of one year of welding experience or a welding certificate is required.
- Skills: Ability to read blueprints and operate welding equipment effectively. Training in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is essential.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is mandatory.
- Language Proficiency: Capable of understanding and communicating instructions effectively.
- Mathematical Skills: Competence in basic arithmetic and the ability to interpret measurements accurately.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to follow multi-step instructions and handle standardized situations.
- Physical Requirements: This role involves standing, kneeling, and lifting items up to 250 lbs, with safety equipment required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Industrial setting with elevated noise levels.
- Welding smoke is managed through effective ventilation.
- Proximity to moving machinery and exposure to heat and humidity.
- Mandatory use of safety gear including toe protection, eyewear, and hearing protection.
