Job Description

Community Residences is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Instructor to join our team. As a Residential Instructor, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Individualized Plans: Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team to create and implement individualized plans that cater to the unique needs and goals of each client.
  2. Provide Support and Care: Offer emotional, physical, and behavioral support to clients, promoting their independence and well-being.
  3. Administer Medication: Once certified, administer medication to clients at prescribed times, adhering to agency policy and regulatory standards.
  4. Assist with Daily Living Tasks: Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, household management, and personal care.
  5. Monitor and Report Changes: Monitor clients' medical, physical, and behavioral changes, reporting any concerns to the Supervisor, RN Program Coordinator, or Program Director.
  6. Participate in Training and Development: Participate in training opportunities, including in-service training, staff meetings, and conferences, to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  7. Maintain Confidentiality and Professionalism: Ensure the confidentiality and dignity of clients, adhering to CRI's confidentiality policy and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED and at least two years of experience in the field of Human Services preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related Human Services area in addition to experience is preferred.
  • A valid CT driver's license and a good driving record are required.

Work Schedule

Friday-Monday, 11pm-7am

32 hours per week
