Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pipeline Inspector to join our team at Tailing Inspection And Training Services LLC. As a Senior Pipeline Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting and overseeing Contractors' work of specific crafts performed for the construction of pipelines and facilities to ensure that procedures and materials comply with contract specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and oversee Contractors' work to ensure compliance with contract specifications, codes, and industry standards.
  • Document construction inspections, Contractor's efforts, and materials used on the project.
  • Record and notify Chief Inspector of deviations from construction specifications, drawings, permits, and governing regulations.
  • Evaluate premises for safety and participate in daily tailgate meetings to enforce company safety programs.
  • Verify craft discipline work is performed in compliance with specifications, plans, and codes.
  • Observe work in progress to ensure procedures followed and materials used conform to specifications.
  • Prepare samples of unapproved materials for laboratory testing.
  • Examine quality of finished installations for conformity to standards and approve installation.
  • Interpret plans and specifications for construction contractor and discuss deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure compliance with regulations governing construction.
  • Record quantities of materials received or used during specified periods, noting deviations or exceptions to the specifications, drawings, permits, or governing regulations.
  • Maintain daily log of construction and inspection activities and compare progress reports.
  • Prepare sketches of construction installations that deviate from drawings.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of oil and gas construction inspection or other related experience.
  • AWS CWI certification.
  • API 1169 certification.
  • Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section IX - Welding and Brazing Qualifications.
  • Knowledge of API Welding of Pipelines and Related Facilities.
  • Knowledge of AWS D- Structural Welding Code - Steel.
  • Knowledge of ASME B31 Series.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8 years of oil and gas construction inspection or other related experience.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Card for construction.
