Intertek Group Plc is seeking a Branch Operations Director to oversee our Building & Construction division.

As a prominent provider of assurance, testing, inspection, and consulting services in civil and commercial construction, Intertek offers a comprehensive range of solutions including construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, industrial hygiene, and specialized testing. Our services are designed to manage risks and ensure the quality and safety of our clients' projects and assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operational aspects of the branch, focusing on geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing and inspection.
  • Engage in business development initiatives, including the formulation of project scopes, estimating costs, and preparing proposals.
  • Establish and implement construction quality control programs.
  • Oversee Profit and Loss management for the branch.
  • Handle Accounts Receivable responsibilities.
  • Lead the recruitment, training, and mentoring of technical and administrative staff.

Qualifications for Success:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil or geotechnical engineering is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration is preferred or the ability to obtain it.
  • Experience in personnel management, project management, and financial oversight.
  • A strong interest and skill set in business development.
